Living in one house allows girls who are expecting to learn by example and gives them an insight into what will be required of them once their baby is born. The teens are encouraged, and supported in a family atmosphere through each phase of motherhood.

If you would like to see our homes or are interested in living in one of them call and ask to talk to a housemother. She will be happy to show you the home and answer any questions that you may have. St. Teresa Home - 503 391-9349

St. Teresa is "Home" to many girls. It is home for girls living here at this time as well as those who lived here in the past. They come back to visit often and share stories about their life at St. Teresa Home. They talk about everything from having water fights and barbecue's, to giving birth and being scared because they want to be a good parent.

Knowing that they always have a house-mom by their side to support and encourage them in their choices is very comforting to the girls. For some it is the first time that they have had a person like that in their lives. When they walk in the door they are safe at home with "family". Family which consists of not only the housemothers, but also other girls who are in the same situation, there to support each other or just listen when they need a friend.

A Poem Written by a Girl who lived at St. Teresa Home

    St. Teresa is a home
Where girls and kids are free to roam.
We eat and play and have dome fun,
We run in the sprinkler when there's sun.

By our Father our home is blessed.
By our friends our kids are dressed.
We love our home and plan to stay,
    Very few choose to stray.

We count our blessings and give thanks,
If love were money we'd have full banks.

St. Teresa Home was named after Mother Teresa.
